8800 + Oblivion?!

I sense a bit of bitterness in your post =\

Oblivion ran fine for me on max settings with a Pentium D 930 1gb ram and a 7600 GT xXx

I`m gonna re-install this and have another look, and patch it as far at it`ll go, cos quite frankly I played this game and within a very short amount of time I felt game programming was taken back several years.

I look at games very differently to most, it`s not just about how the game looks - u can employ artists to make u`r game look good, it`s about dynamics of how it looks compared to it`s predecessors and looking at meters and thinking where the hell have all the resources gone! (especially when u`r looking at something that impresses u less than something u`ve already seen that required older tech & spec).

As an example compare the FIFA07 game engine to Madden07, Madden is written well, FIFA performs like a slug - and with less to do.

Games can look sheet-awful to me, but if they`re programmed well, with innovative stuff and clever techniques, I`ll give it a break.

Lol, wasn't specificly aimed at you mate.

Bethseda have produced some of the best games ever imo. They polish them untill the glisten more than dimond in the areas i point out in that post.

If they wanted to make an 3billion fps engine they could.
