800D Case Shipping

What is the best way to ship a case without having the original box? Not exactly an easy task to find one of the correct dimensions for the 800D and have it not be totaled during transit.

Make a box, You should be able to get cardboard from your local DIY store, Ask for the scrap stuff, My local one called B&Q gave me quite a lot when I asked *For moving purposes* and then just cut it to shape and use strong duct tape to put it together but be sure to measure a good couple of inches large on either side of the case to accommodate for protective packaging.

For protection you want to get some foam for packaging, I got a ton of it from ebay, Just look for scrap foam or foam cut offs.

Hope this helps :)

I know you posted this about a month ago but if you are still looking to get a box the right size i have a idea for you.

I work in ikea here in Dublin and in my department we got a machine around 2 years ago that cuts the boxes for all our products when they get ripped out on the shelf. Most stores i know of in england have one as well, if there is a ikea near you head on in and go to the "AS/IS" / "bargain corner" area, that is were it will be in the back. the department will be called "recovery" ask if they will cut you a box and give them the dimensions.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately the nearest Ikea is a long ways away.
