780Ti Standard Vs SC - Further OC potential.

Just out of curiosity - does anybody know if the (reference) EVGA 780Ti SCs are cherrypicked at all? I'm going to be watercooling a pair of them (hence reference) and I was curious as to whether there's any benefit to picking the SCs over the regular cards? Not a huge price difference, so for me it'd definitely be worth it if there was potential for better overclocks and stability.
