1.35V is safe, but its not good for your CPU over time. Keep playing with your bios and tweak it so you can lower it as much as possible. 4.4 @ 1.35V is not a very good overclocker if that is your best attempt so far. (unless you just aimed for this as a starting point and can easily bring it down further)
Patience is a virtue and the sheer options you have in the bios now is what makes it fun. There are plenty of people here who will assist. TTL included, and as far as I am aware, he was going to update the overclocking guide.
That being said, I don't think there is anything wrong with using the current one as guidance.
