warlord, no CPUs are the same man, even if its from a good batch it cud still be complete crap, ure best bet is checking it yourself, having said that, with it being a SL6WU and a 30 capper it sounds promising.

ive jus got sum new oem p4s in at work. found a 3gig sl6wu 30 capper and also a 2.8m0. the info on the chip if the 3gig are as follows sl6wu malay, L351A889, M401A519,1171. any1 kno if its any good?

From the research I did they are rated well.

I am calm warlord and for your information there is nothing wrong with the chip, ive got it running to 4.3ghz WITHOUT volt mods, its the motherboard thats ****ed coz i think i blew a mosfet up

Also the speed in my sig is what i run at 24/7 i doint see the point in raping ever last mhz out of the CPU wne its gonna keel over and die anytime soon, im not suicidle like gorby

i learnt from first hand experience, bought my SL6WK thinking (easy 4ghz) max i could post at with 1.825v(!!!) was 3.9ghz and it was really unstable just in windows, the max I think I could of be 100% stable at with volt mods was 3.75ghz, some 250mhz less then what i wnated (hense i sold the CPU for a comfortable £135 and bought my new one, which rocks, cant wait to get a Decent mobo

ye i kno wat ur all sayin, but i jus wanted sum advise from u guys. cos unlike us my uncle aint got a clue about overclockin, and wen i told him about my mach2 he thought i was gonna kill all his p4s!! . so i still ave 2 actually buy the chip 1st, i do get them 4 the same trade price he does tho . well anyways ive taken the chip home but i still cnt test it atm as ive sent my board off 2 ave the vdimm and vdroop mod done.

no it wasnt my board m8, ive sent it off 2 a friend of mine who is takin 4eva 2 do it! phil will probably tell u that prices go up and down all the time, many things can affect pricin e.g how many u buy, or if there is a sortage of the product. traders dnt make as much money as u would belive. its best 2 sell more at less profit than much less at greater profit
