i have try overclocking my cpu before and got nothing but trouble and crap result ,

Core Voltage 1.275v
Core Speed 4.4 ghz even try low to 4.2ghz and no ram speed change
Ram Speed 1330 Mhz Using timming for 2400mhz
Ram Volt 1.65v

Now i put the crap results to my noob over-clocking skill but 4 other people others try with no better results. But the ram is the biggest problem

I have went back to stock on my cpu and set timing and voltage on my ram manually
10-12-12-31 Timings 1.65v which are meant of 2400mhz and still cant get 1600mhz to run stable and as of 3 day ago the computer as started Memory dumping and crash as soon as the pc starts up only the first time then it runs fine

Hey man,

You need to go into the bios and actually change the speed of the memory. The timings and speed are not the same. IE: you can run 1333 at 10-12-12-31 and 2400 at said clocks if the DIMMs are good enough

If you tell me what board you have I can probably tell you exactly where to look in the bios!

Try looking for "Memory Clocks" or "Memory Frequency"

Try enabling XMP and then changing the speed to 1600/1866 it will be one of the supporting volts youre not changing causing the issues

Thanks for the post and ideas ok

The Guvnor : i try that and it crash as soon as the pc got to window on 1600 and 1866

With Corsair Dominator 16gb 2400 memory most X79 systems normally walk it when you boot and select XMP.

I have used 4 X79 CPUs all have had no problems doing the above and also have had no problems being tuned down to 9-11-11-25 1T 96 @2400mhz.

My 4 CPUs are

3960X
3930k
3970X
4930k

If you can not get it to run it could be either a bad IMC (integrated memory controller) on the CPU or dodgy memory sticks.
