3870 Reviews/Graphs etc.

Some reviews are showing phenominal performance and somea re showing not so great. Another member from another forum pointed it out and it is true. The cards that are being tested on PCI-E 2.0 are scoring much higher points.

Interesting! New tech actually being utilised! I'd like to see the difference between the two as I'm pretty much sold on buying one of these, I only have pcie 1.0... Damn it.

I`m awfully confuzed.

The pic at the bottom of the review, showing the MSI X48 and 2 Ati cards in crossfire...

Both of those 3870x2 ? They don`t look the same pcb design as the double-fanned one pictured in this thread here. They look like 2x 3870 cards in crossfire.

Only 2 dvi connections each ?

that looks like the 3870X2.

only some of the manufacturers are going with 4 DVI slots.

The pic is 2 3870X2, not 2 3870

Iv noticed a fair bit of inconsistencies in the reviews.

People should test the card with PCI-E 1.0 and 2.0 motherboards, and 2.6ghz core 2 and a 3.6ghz core 2 and see the bottlenecking in each

Smithy.. say the first one is correct.. is 4 or 5 frames higher than the GTX the jump everyone has been looking for? Not quite there I reckon.

Saying that. How much is one of these gonna cost again? And how much is a GTX? I imagine the 3870 is cheaper so in that respect yeah would be good. If its not cheaper then no point.
