Sorry to wake a old thread but i have just this minute pulled the trigger on a i5 3570k and a ASUS P8Z77-V LX, got the both for just over £200.
The 955 was a bad overclocker ( my mobo probably didn't help) i do have a Hyper 212 EVO so i will be using that on the Intel.
I will post and let you guys know if it was worth it, im just happy to have a new cpu after 3 years

Installed the 3570k today and im very impressed. Dayz is like a new game to play everything max settings and i still get 50- 80 fps
Bf3 is about the same in fps but runs a hell load smoother
overall it feels like a much better gaming rig and im very happy i moved intel and would recommend it to anyone with a old amd quad core
