Hey guys, here's what I thought.
If I had $2500 to spend on a pc, I would keep $600 for the mainboard and cpu, $350 for the sound, $500 for the video graphics, $100 for the RAM, $200 for the power supply, $150 for the cooling, $250 for the data storage and $150 for the case. Which leaves me with $200 for any additional expenses.
Here's what I came up with finally :
Gigabyte P67A-UD7 - $315 ( Newegg )
Intel Core i7-2600K - $315 ( Newegg )
Asus Xonar Essence STX - $190 ( Amazon )
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX speakers - $150 ( Amazon )
MSI GTX580 Lightning Video Card - $525 ( Newegg )
Noctua NH-D14 cpu cooler - $90 ( Newegg )
G.Skill Ripjaws-X (2 X 4gb) 2133MHz - $100 ( Newegg )
2 X Noctua NF-P12-1300 120mm Case Fans - $50 ( Newegg )
Corsair Performance 3 SSD 64GB - $165 ( Newegg )
Samsung Spinpoint 1 TB HDD - $65 ( Newegg )
NZXT Phantom Black Finish ATX Full Tower - $140 ( Newegg )
Corsair AX-850 850W Power supply - $190 ( Newegg )
TOTAL = $2295
Any comments and suggestions are welcome....
