2013/14 Football Thread

As big a Man Utd supporter as I am I cannot see them winning this season without a new CM or two. Got a feeling it will be Chelsea or Man City for the title with Arsenal and Spurs being the main contenders for 4th.
 
I used to be a big Arsenal, but I got tired of them not winning anything and I lost interest in the sport. I still hope they win something in the near future.
 
Well obviously crystal palace aren't going to pull out all the stops on this one, Despite a fantastic turnaround from near bankruptcy. (Palace fan if this wasn't obvious)

I'd have to say that the suggestions that Dan made are the most likely. I can't see anything ground breaking happening. But who knows...

Having said that. We gave Spurs a damn good run for their money today. I was expecting more to say the least...
 
No shame in how Palace played today, if they play like that against everyone they should nick quite a lot of points and perhaps take the odd big scalp as well. Out of the 3 promoted clubs I'd say they have done the best this week and were unfortunate to not get a draw out of Spurs. Losing due to a single penalty isn't something for them to be too upset by in my view when many would have suggested that Spurs should be winning that game fairly easily.
 
exactly :) looking forward to seeing how things pan out in the future. I'll be at their next home game against Sunderland I believe.
 
Top 3 will be between United, City and Chelsea I reckon, and if Spurs can hold onto Bale for this season they'll take 4th, maybe challenging for 3rd spot.
 
Don't want to give my predictions as I'm not a big football fan, I only went to my first game last season which was City vs. Madrid in the Champions League, my boss is a big City fan so he often asks me to go to their games with him.
 
Congrats to Cardiff, well deserved win by them today... I hope Man City manage to sort out there terrible defence......
