2 Watercooling Questions

1:- just after some advise on if it would be ok to apply some paint to the top of water blocks? (the acetal, plexi etc part on top). Im thinking they dont do anything or much apart from keep the water inside the block

2:- would you still need good air flow over the motherboard with a full block set on it?

1) You could... Not sure why you'd want to though? Why wouldn't you just get coloured coolant which would show through the plexi?

2) Not really no... Although unless you're mounting everything externally you'd probably have some airflow going through the case anyway?

ive got acetal tops rather than the plexi one but i gues i could replace them with plexi ones. i was thinking of painting the tops with heat sensitive paint so if the start off black once they get warm they change to a different colour.

i just wanted to keep the noise down so did not want the fans in the upper part of my desk on full

I have all of my fans running at 5v, so that isn't really an issue.

I don't really like the idea of the paint tbh. I think it'd just look a bit cheap.

thats a bonus then as i dont really want to much noise when im watching films or just on the net

yer that ideas out the window as my paint supplier can not get it anymore so it would have to come from the USA

painting plexi can be difficult. It can peel and very difficult to get the thickness right.
