Hi guys a quick question please...I am just about to install my new board and i5-3750K ( coming from and i5-760 ).

I currently have 8GB of XMS 3 ( 4 x 2GB sticks) would I be better going 16GB vengance ( 2 x 8GB ) or going RAID 0 on my SSDs to get some better performace. If I did this I could get the RAM at a later date.....just not sure what to do first?

I mainly run games and some CS6 on my rig. If you can recommend better ram please do so.

all of intels bridge platforms are speed junkies.. meaning the normal 1600GHz
gaming RAM is pretty much a standard pick to use. for performance the 1866
and 2133 offer better reactions in applications (not so much on gaming). the CS
suites thrive on CPU/RAM speed. capacity is helpful, but not really holding
anything back.

RAID0 SSD (for me and CS appz) really wasn't a bang for buck catch. file manips
and vid rendering was helpful, but not as much as RAM speed.

the games will not be affected but the speed, tasks and applications do.
a fast SSD, 16GB 2133GHz RAM and that'd be the tight package. a handsome
overclock 4.5-4.7 and you'd have a confident rig built.

You won't feel the difference of a ssd raid or ramdisc, while gaming or using cs 6 without extremly high resulutions and tons of materials etc. and keep the XMS 3s, the 2gbs have usually better latences, who are better for gaming than fast clocks.

IMO you have sufficient memory for what you do with the rig! throw yourself directly to the ssd´s or another graphic card.:)

If you already have the first SSD your not going to see much of a difference unless you get a RAID card, therefore I would suggest the RAM but even that is kinda pointless since you can't go for a really fast set with your old RAM...

EDIT : Just re-read the post, sorry. Definitely go for the RAM If your completely replacing it :)

I wouldn't bother investing in another OCZ drive mate, Get the ram
Also CS6 with a ramdisc setup correctly, which I can talk you through on TS this week, ( even if only a few GB ) is excellent. I'm sorry Rossi but on this occasion, you are wrong. I've tested this personally and photoshop LAPS it up.

I'd go 16GB ram, and assign 8GB to a ramdisk and use it for scratch files, since i know roughly the depth and width of photoshop files you work on mate, I'd definitely stick with that approach.

Investing in another OCZ SSD is not a good idea, I'd look more into replacing that one as soon as you can.

So to summarise, Get the Ram, or get a single, better SSD.

SSD, but I doubt I'd raid them.

Somebody who does "some" CS6, wouldn't be that interested in boosting over the existing 8g setup.
