144Hz 1440P IPS Panel, Will they arrive this year ?

I have a 27" 1080P 144Hz 3D ready monitor from BenQ and as much as I love it I was wondering if anyone has any information on 144Hz 1440P IPS panels coming out this year ?

No information myself, but I'm hoping for a 30" 2560x1600 G-Sync monitor myself.

We still don't have a proper 120hz IPS monitor so I seriously doubt it's coming soon.
You can try your hand at overclocking the IPS panel and tell us what you find. here's a list of monitors that overclock close to 120hz.

The controllers and panels( more so the panels) are the only things stopping us from achieving the 120hz IPS monitors because they just can't switch the pixels around fast enough without picture quality lost. Its sort of the same thing with 4k. Most are only 30hz because controllers can't handle it as of yet.

IPS won't happen anytime soon though.

I am seriously considering getting one. Or would it be a waste of money? Also would it look stupid next to my current Asus PB278Q, one being a ROG monitor and other standard.

It doesn't matter how good your GPU is, if you cheap out on the monitor you will not have a pleasant experience. I would even go as far as saying that a good monitor is more important than a good GPU. An artist is only as good as the canvas he is drawing on.
If it's $800 important i cannot say, but at least 300$.

TTL should get it and review it and then I will decide then. I do like my current 1440p monitor.
