So I'm curious to what people think of the brand 'Be quiet!'. I don't know what all components they make but I'm only talking about PSUs. I know that Corsair is usually seen as the most mainstream brand to go with for their reliability and that for most people OCZ is a no go for buying a power supply. But what is be quiet! rated as in terms of reliability. I was wondering because they have a 680watt modular 80+gold PSU and for Corsair for the same price and wattage (650watts) you get a 80+ silver modular PSU. Atleast I think the HX series is silver rated.

Does the low price of be quiet reflect in the quality of the product of are their prices just more reasonable?

My mates have had a 530w bequiet psu. Thats in a system that used to run a 5830 and a Phenom 965 so I'd imagine it was relatively close to drawing 530w and we've never had a problem at all with that. That's 2 years old now.

I have one of the silent wings 2 fans myself, and it feels very well made, but also I was very impressed to see the included accessories. They use their own mounting system with rubber attachments, and each corner has a removable edge. This can be replaced by another edge set which takes normal fan screws so can be used on rads too. I just thought this was worth mentioning as it was good that they went the extra step to give you support for a better rubber mounting system than screws for a case, but leaving the option for fan screws there too. They also gave you 5 screws and 5 rubber mounts themselves in case you lose one, and a fan speed voltage reducer for 5v 7v and 12v. I personally like to see companies give more than just a bare fan away and because of this it does make me want to buy from them again, as they've proven to actually go out of their way to give you more options, and that was just for a fan too!
I felt they deserved a lengthy recommendation ;)

BeQuiet are awesome. I have a 750W 80+ Gold Rated PSU and it has been running like a champ for nearly a year. It is extremely quiet even on load so I can highly recommend BeQuiet. I also have a 530W BeQuiet PSU in my work rig, which has also been flawless :).

They do make some ok stuff but theres nothing they do that someone else doesnt make better, even if it was more expensive to buy another brand I cant think of any example why it wouldnt be worth it.

What if the more expensive one was an OCZ unit my master? :)

They have diffrent types of psu's, the dark and straight power ones are great, pure is good but a bit 'meh' and the system power is good for cheap builds.. coolers are good, silent but not the very best.
The sound dampening foam they do is really high quality as are all their fans.
Hope this helps
