if anything get the 350, the 70 is poo!! also the 50 is tried and tested, and the range of modifications is so large, i cant even put a representation to it!

whats the difference buddy i thought it was just like a big bore version of the 35. i really fancy a twin turbo. no point half assing it you know. i seen loads of mods with the intake down at undercarriage as opposed to higher up in the engine bay i was worried that this is the standard mounting posistion for turbo intakes and would that no suck in a ton of water. esp considering ireland is pretty much forever wet. apart from this week. its lush

Right, its actually quite deep yes the 370z is a bigger badder version, but its also built on compromise.

obviously the first thing people like us do is on the test drive, find limitations of the car, you'll find as per standard the car is quite evenly built and matched, the 370 is heavier and suspension was tweaked slightly but in opinion is handles worse, to me, for where i live and the way i drive handling is KEY!! you'd be surprised at how quick you can make up times round a corner!

the 370 feels clunky on the rear end, and from what ive been told by the owner of one (ive not personally driven one) the rear end after 150mph is very skittish, to me thats dangerous, unless you are willing to lay down the 10's of thousands you need to get a custom suspension setup then its poo, dunno whether you might have noticed, when people modify a 370 there rear wing is so MASSIVE you could iron your clothes, this was to make up for the skittish rear end

Now you mention it the wings have all been huge haha. There arent many things out imo that are affordable. I drive a discovery atm I part own with my parents but ill be handinging it all over to them to get myself a wagon. Audis I like but the price even second hand for one of the powerful ones is bazonkers or it has hundreds of thousands of miles on the clock. Mitsubishi evo service more often than you can drive. Impreza wierd looking. Toyota gt86 should have been a supra successor. 350 is slick good engine plenty modifications are available and you can get a 5 year old one for less than 10 k with reasonable miles. Whats not to like

Well from what I can see, you look like you know your cars and have some money behind you

My advice
S2000
BMW M3
R32 or 33 skyline, pick them up for about 12k nowadays

That's alot of potential there, you won't run out of spares and the modifying community is so large always have ideas

did Nissan ever fix the oil drain-back issue on the 35? one of my clients had a
service done by Nissan to "flush" the complete engine to rid it of deposits" so
the oil didn't fill-up the rocker boxes and starve the lower end (which was his
complaint of low/no oil pressure after 3hrs of driving.
seems this was also an issue on the 25 4-banger, too?

Here's my cable issues ;)...a cookie if you can you spot the 2 pc components in the picture. Double choc chip cookie if you can guess the car too :p

I'm working on getting it back on the road for a bit of the summer at least.

Psu powering a d5 to test your coolant system.

And the car moment of madness here but Lotus Esprit turbo?

Double whammy!! It's the SE version and I've replaced the old mechanical pump for the chargecooler with a spare D5 pump I had, and as you said testing the pump and loop with a jumped psu. Works a treat too. :D

i've got my next-door neighbor and another friend in the
same boat. one has gotten an estimate to R/I engine, and
de-funk the drain-back galleries for $2800. so that's three
350Z owners with oil issues..
