You Can Now Buy Skyrim Mods on Steam

I think it's a wonderful idea I really do.

I played some really good third party quests on Fallout 3 and I would imagine every single one of them would have been even better if the developer of them got paid. That way they could invest into buying good audio recording equipment and so on.

My only gripe with Fallout 3 was the fact that I wished Bethesda had gone on to make more quests and DLC for it instead of ditching it completely to concentrate on Skyrim development. With money being paid people could actually give up their day jobs and this can only mean more time going in to make even better third party DLC.

I would quite happily pay for that. Even if I wasn't happy you have a choice :)

There will still be free DLC but the paid for stuff should be even better now. Bravo !

Well i guess the petition and the huge backlash did something good, valve pulled the plug (for now) on selling mods for other games.

No Bethesda pulled it.. The thing is they both been working on this since 2012 so really they've been planning this for very long.. kinda sad it wasn't 100% ready. Bethesda said it's only accounted for less than 1% sales since it launched in comparison to how many more people are buying the game.
