XSPC EX or RX?

Hi,

I'm currently planning an upcoming build and very new to water cooling and it's performance. My current specs for the rig are:

-Gigabyte G1 Sniper 3

-Intel Core i7 3770K

-G.Skill Ripjaws Z 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3-2400

-EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB

-OCZ Vertex 4 128GB SSD

-Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB

-CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 1000W

-NZXT Switch 810

I am not sure whether to go with The EX and have Push-Pull config or go with The RX and just go with a Pull config. What would have better performance?

Thanks in Advance

Sorry, just seen you have a switch 810 so I'm assuming triple.

For CPU only, the EX would cut it fine, more than enough even.

CPU + GPU, the EX wont be good enough. The RX will do it, but temps will probably be fairly high, meaning you'll need higher RPM and therefore louder fans. you may therefore be better off getting an extra 240mm in the front or the floor. If you got the 360 EX and the 240 EX, they shouldnt be that much more expensive than the 360RX, although I havent checked prices, just guessing.

I know fittings will add a little, but that would still be the best option.

I was just planning on watercooling the CPU and size......240 would be easier and I watched TTL's vid on the 810 and it doesn"t have the best support for 360. Taking one of your suggestions I could have two 240"s on in the top and one in the bottom. Would this work fine?

Even with a second 670, an 850watt would be able to power your rig, and more, with ease. Just don't want you to be spending more money than you need to.

using the rx360 isnt really difficult as Tom was laying out. there are a lot of

members using the 360 on thier 810 systems. you'll want the 360 as others

have gone the 240 route and have found the 240 to be par but usually

end up changing to the 360 and found better all round performance in cooling.

and if in the future your WC GPU adding the 240 in the floor (mod for the PSU

its too damn long) or dropping the HDD rack and use the 240 as intake.

OK so using an RX 360 would be best with a single bank of fans on top for pull configuration? And if I decide to WC GPU just add a 240 in the front?

And is there an easy way to remove the riveted sheet in the optical bay?

RX fits fine with one set of fans, they go under the grill not inside the case itself.

EX- CPU only

RX with GPU too.

youd only need another rad if you went with a second GPU.
