XSPC 750 pump res combo Vs Laing DDC ultra 18 w res conbo

Hey all,

The xspc 750 pump and res combo = £58

Whereas

The xspc res + Laing DDc ultra 18w = £103 ( the one tom used in his snow drift build)

Do you think the difference in price is worth going with the DDc? They both use the same res

What do you think, I'm stuck on this peeps ....

TTL how is the DDc Laing doing in the snow drift? Is the pump loud? Is it worth going for it compared to xspc res pump combo?

the DDC 18W is the best pump available imho. You just need to decide if you need it or not.

Its not the same res either.

Ive already answered about the pump mate. You will need better than the 750 for a decent multi block set up imho.

Unless you have to have a bay res Id look at the DDC with a res top for it rather than a bay res you put it in dudio. Not sure if its just the 690 but I could deffo hear the pump, and if the DDC is on anti vibe mounts you really cant hear it.

I was going to go for the bay res but noise reduction is number 1 for me, what res top do you think would go well with it?

I'm using the colossus currently so, I want to make sure it's as quiet as possible.

Yes it will be a 240 and only CPU , I assumed that a better pump= lower temps or are you saying that the xspc 750 would be fine? I'm a complete Nooob

For CPU only in that case get this:

Remember to get the colour coolant you want, and Id also get a pair of 120mm fans to match what ever you are doing with the rig aswell. Then just tune them in the rig for noise / temps when you set up.

Yup will do, I've already go 4 Cm sickleflow blue led fans for push and pull ( I modded the top so I can put two above the case aswell)

the only thing is I want to get different fittings and an acrylic ek CPU block so I might buy the parts separately
