xp to 7 without loosing data

Hi
I need to build a new pc because the old one is a bit outdated, I also will go from xp to 7. I don't want to loose any data (contacts,emails,pics,...)
Will windows easy transfer be sufficient here ? also, both the old and new pc have a raid1 on the drives, does this mean i need to do anything extra ?

look up stuff to do with encrypted files after this update. If you're not careful windows will auto-encrypt stuff and lock you out of it.. Can't remember the exacts (sorry) but just look it up before you do.
