Idea's?
I am now on a real computer, given up trying to access this forum on an MP3 player, but I am still plagued with PC problems.
My 7900GS decided to catch fire and my 6600GT was KiA at some point, so I borrowed a friends X700. I can POST, nose around the BIOS and do things in safe mode, but the second I hit XP desktop it crashes, well, about 10 seconds later it crashes once it detected the graphics card.
My initial idea was overheating as my friend said this thing overheated alot when gaming, so I pointed lots of fans at it but still same problem. It is now happily in safe mode but I am out of ideas on how to fix it
For the record the system it is in is as follows:
AMD X2 5000+
ASUS M2N SLi Delixe
2Gb G Skill HK
Corsair 450w PSU
Antec 900 with plenty of fans.
The system worked for months as a file server but the 7900 died so I tried this X700 out of desperation to get at my music etc but no luck. Anyone with any help?
