ME thinks you is a funneh person.. (me likes talking like caveman) Ohh ARHH!

just to expand on frags explanation of clock cycles with some proof.

intel = 6 clocks per cycle

amd = 9 clocks per cycle

so for exampe a 3000mhz intel...

3000/9 x 6 = 2000

therefore a 3ghz intel is equivelant in procesing power to a 2ghz amd :)

WOAH thats some intresting stuff!

SO is there a way of upping these clock cycles?

Other way round dave....

Sorry to pis5 on your parade guys but if you actually looked at some of the benchmarks and calculation timings (and price) you would see that Intel have totally outdone AMD. I have a dualcore amd and ive clocked it to 2.6 which reads out as an amd X2 5000+ in most applications. Is this close to a 5GHz intel......afraid not. Is this close to the performance i could get out of a C2D for just over 100 notes.... again i regret to say no :(

WOah..

Sorry must of dozed off while i was reading ;D

the C2D's wern't out when AMD first released they're Duals. I think im gonna come back when AMD release something that eats C2D and say "well if you actually looked at the benchmarks llwyd, the new AMD's are better, rererererere"

I revived the post to point out that future games will utilize the second core, thats it. so whats the point in posting in this thread with all this "btw, C2D are better than X2's for the price" - Isn't that fact obvious? The post isn't about which one is better for the price, and we wern't slamming C2D's in the first place, so really, you just posted that to slam current AMD Dual cores? I, am certainly not interested in your incapabilties to produce interesting posts.

Thats plain hypocrisy. Out of the whole 10 posts you have ive read one that is worthwhile and it was off topic to start with.

I don't know if you've paid much attention to these forums since you've been here, but it tends to me quite a chilled out tech forum and people don't try to start arguments about who knows what. You just respect another persons input/opinion. Of the few posts I have seen from you, they have been pretty argumentative.... :nutkick:

What gives?

Lefoobar: You need to learn some respect, so far all of your posts have seemed to make one person or another mad. This isn't the way to continue being a member here, we respect everyone elses opinions. Shape up or ship out.
