X1900XT Giving me probs

Ok so basically I start up the game , will be playing a few mins then it just restarts the comp, also when it does not do that when I click on a game it just starts up and freezes, or freezes and restarts the comp , last problem is I would have played a game for an hour or two then I quit the game and poof, the comp just pauses / restarts . I have updated the drivers Cleaned and re-installed. I have no Idea what could be wrong, room temp is 20 C and I have a HUGE fan blowing air though the comp. The weird thing is it does not do this everytime. It happens more with certain games and some hardly at all. Any suggestions please?

wat makes you think its the x1900xt? have you tried another card?

sounds like cpu/memory is unstable. have you overclocked anything in your system?

My cpu was overclocked... but its normal again now , and I have no problem loading any other program. I was thinking maybe its the heat or the Powersupply?

run a 32M test of superpi, and tell me if your computer restarts

download and run Super PI

Run the 32million test

go to calculate, and select 32M, its basically a stress test that will stress your cpu and ram

i dont think your gfx card is the problem at this moment

Ok doing so right now , so far so good. If it does not restart any Idea what the problem might be?

I seriously think Its a heat problem or a powersupply problem. So far the test is still running no probs yet. I have no other card to try though . This comp is a

3Ghz HT

Asus P5ad2

X1900XT

500W PS ( mistake in profile )

2.5GB ram ( tried removing the 512 stick no diff )

This is my old comp but I still use it for stuff.

tis 4 mate, although im pretty sure one of the service packs let it handle about 32

with the Super PI 32m it says i got : Allocated memory 268435496

also on my computer it says 2.5Gig so I think it does recognise and use the Ram.

The 32m is still running no shut down or anything... So this would leave it to the powersupply and Graphics Card right?

and can you cehck the gfx card temp?

Graphics card temp hrm will reach about 75 C when im playing a game like Fear maybe higher temp ... what I got once or twice was red marks before it shuts off.. But its doing it with one particular game 99% of the time when im at char select screen it will just pause and stay like that .. no flashing light from Hdd's and will restart and if speakers are on it makes 1 constant noise very annoying noise 2.
