work out the riddle!!!

im on a nutty one tonight and i came up with a brilliant idea, every month im going to post a riddle the person that gets it right first gets a randum dvd sent to them free!!!!

well here go's the first riddle!!

at dusk i come without being fetched,

at dawn i disappear without being stolen,

i am a poets tears and asailors guide,

What am I?:stickpoke

first person gets a randum DVD sent to them, BTW these are not pirates!:yumyum:

noooooooooooooooope this is a riddle i have search on alot of websites and has come up numerous times but not with the answer i ahve in this booooook,

btw you all have 24 hours from posting to get the riddle rite
 
Well sailors use the stars as a guide (North star etc) which wou can see at night and are gone in the day.

Not really sure what else sailors would use to guide them at night appart from a lighthouse or a compass or a map+torch ?? (but none of those fit the riddle)

theres bits to confuse you but two main parts are in turn the same thing.....

just because it says its there to guide does that really mean its there to guide?
