Woolwich murder, your opinion?

Im interested to know everyone's opinion on the Woolwich murders, what do people think was it a terrorist attack? What to do now?

Lets try to keep this civil please, trolls try not to aggravate people, lets discuss this so we can have food for thought :)
 
idgaf. by giving them attention they get what they want. i don't care who they were, which motives they had or who made them do it, there is more important stuff than listening to what the extremist retards have to say.
 
I believe that it was a group of individuals with no links to terrorist groups (however,they were already known to the security services. source) who acted in their own belief, as opposed to working with extremist groups.

I think what people shouldn't do now is start to blame the muslim population as a whole for it. It maddens me that groups such as the EDL used it as an excuse to attack Muslims.
 
Probably a group of extremists not linked to any major terrorist organization.

Either that or they are mentally ill, I mean you don't stab people to death in the middle of the street, in broad daylight, in front of around one hundred people then charge at police with machete if you are sane.

They obviously wanted to get caught and make it know, or they were prepared to die doing it. Not your average attack, they wanted to make a statement, which they pretty much did. Don't know whether you can label it as terrorism though, more like premeditated murder.
 
Yes it is a terrible thing but I am really annoyed by the reaction by people. All over the internet and irl I am seeing many people who I respected using this as an excuse to be completely racist, saying such things as "kick the muslim scum out" etc etc, I only knew a few muslims but I certianly have no problem with them as a whole and I know that these two individuals certianly do not represent all muslims, unfortunately some people can't understand that.
 
As you guys have all said pretty much, what pisses me off is when people mistake extremists for Muslims. Extremism in my eyes is completely separate and present in plenty of other religions, think IRA, KKK, Westborough Baptist church.

well theres a lot of calls for mosques to be burnt down and for muslims to be attacked in the street in retaliations

The EDL and BNP are in full swing at the moment it would appear

Yup I agree. You can't condemn a whole religion on the actions of a minority. The men who committed these murders are the scum of this earth and deserve death. No one has the right to take another persons life and if they do, they should suffer the consequences that come as a result.
 
Think the same pretty much as everyone else.

I think it is disgusting how some people are acting in public, being more ignorant and stupid than normal.

Either way it will be out of the news in a few weeks, when something else happens in the world that becomes the next big talking point.

True, it might not give a way to solve the issue but I think it effectively makes the point that a lot of British people with the power to make the change are too politically correct regarding the issue. The fact that following a disgusting crime like this that there is suddenly concern at offending Muslims because of the pathetic minority such as those in the EDL and other uneducated morons who fail to differentiate between the majority of Muslims and extremists. As has been seen throughout the media, Muslims are just as disgusted about this behaviour as anyone else.

I just thought it was a well written piece but def wanna hear your thoughts on it
 
I don't think that article makes good point at all, in fact I think the author purposely misses the point to further his narrative.
 
This article just makes a few small points then goes on about how leaving the EU will solve extremism in this country. No, the current method of dealing with extremism isn't working but neither will removing ourselves from the EU court of human rights. I have a feeling that we'll be at risk from events like these while we are involved in situations like Afghanistan. I'm not saying that when we leave Afghanistan things will get immediately better either, as it would be naive to assume that it would. However, I feel that, given time events like these will stop or at least become much more infrequent.
 
All Religion should be made illegal - That would solve the problems we have in this world - Simple as that ...

Children who are brought up to believe that earth was created in 7 days by some dude named God or Allah are being abused and disadvantaged for there adulthoods .. There is absolutely no proof for this theological nonsense,.. And by abuse I mean the same category as the other kind of abuse that we quite often see in our tabloid headlines..

I feel sorry for the two guys who believe so much in there inexistent god that they would kill for him and also die for him..

If these 2 guys were never exposed to religion then this would never have happened .....

You get crazy people who believe in a God and crazy people who do not. If these guys were truly Muslim, they would have never committed such a crime. 99.9% of Muslims are not like these guys, so you can't blame their actions on their belief in a God. They are simple crazy b******* who believe that what they did was for their god, when in fact it goes against everything Islam is all about.
 
well people can believe what they want to believe, but there just have to be same rights and rules for everyone. Which means that you cant kill in the name of god/allah or any other.

What about all them other simple crazy bastards in Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa, India, Pakistan, Russia, America ?? There are a lot of these "simple crazy bastards" and they all have one thing in common - RELIGION

If we got rid of religion in this world we could then concentrate on the truly crazy people like pedophiles, murderers, criminals etc ...

I mean come on, christians are fighting for the right to teach kids in junior school that the earth is less than 10,000 years old ... Give me a break ..

God is for people who are scared of the dark mate ... Thats the only thing we are gonna be seeing when we take our last breath ...
