Windows 8.1 uses less space than 7?

I disabled it on the C drive and created one on my storage drive.

You never said virtual memory so i just through it out there. Don't recall Dicehunter mentioning it as well.

Sorry I thought you knew what I meant when I said I moved the page file/swap file to another drive. Yeah I disabled it on C drive.

Well something has to be taking up that much space, Old windows install, The amount of programs installed, Games etc...

There will be a logical explanation and the only person who can figure it out is you as your sat right in front of it ^_^

Lol very true, It's no big deal anyway, I just assumed that 8.1 uses less space than 7. I'm sorry if I pissed anyone off, I didn't mean to and thanks for your help guys.

Doesn't piss anyone off bud, Well not me anyway.

The forums are here to help each other and learn :)

In relation to size they should both take up around the same amount of space, Also try disk cleaner as it will clean out old unused and unnecessary update files.

Very true and I really appreciate the help from you guys. I like your theme from what I could see of it anyway.

Don't forget service pack 1 for windows 7 has like 60,000,000 language packs it unnecessarily installs they are around 2gb, is the voice recognition included in W8?

True lol

But realistically I think it-s around 30-40 language packs but those are an optional download through windows update.
