A few of my decisions were based off of my preferences. My hdd I would just get one decent sized hard drive for storage, then later get a sdd.
I chose the ram cause i would need low profile for the noctua nhd-14.
The case, I just like white on a case. Seems like everyone has black, I wanna be different. Also the cable management in that case seems very good along with alot of room. Also the noctua should fit in that case fine. I prefer the noctua over anything myself. Water cooling is good, but I dont want to risk it just yet.
Thats my build.

My millitary Style Build :)

these are the parts i thought would go well with a nice black MSI 7770

CPU Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz

Motherboard ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 Intel Z77 Socket 1155

Ram 8GB ( 2x4GB ) Corsair Vengeance Jet Black Low Profile 1600MHz

Hard Drive Seagate 1.5TB Barracuda Sata III

PSU 650W Corsair TX650M 80PLUS Bronze Modular Power Supply

CPU Cooler Corsair Hydro H80i

Case Corsair Vengeance C70 Black

Recently build something similar to this in a black and orange NZXT phantom for my friend, fell in love with the Sabertooth and the new H80i

OK then lets go 2011, just because we can, do you need any more reasoning than that? Also since I sleep in the same room as my computer is in it needs to be quiet and have no annoying LEDs as well as being powerful. Hence I picked:

CPU: Intel i7 3820 - £215.94 (Offer)

Motherboard: Gigabyte X79-UD3 £119.99 (Offer)

RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Blackline Frostbyte DDR3 1600 4x4GB Cas 9 1.5V £60.24

PSU: Cosair TX750M £93.49

Hard Drive: (Well... Solid State Drive) Crucial M4 128GB £91.99

CPU Cooler: Noctua D14 2011 Edition £59.98

Case: Fractal Design R4 Black Pearl £92.09

Total £733.72

Of course I would need a graphics card ;)
