£692.30 with SSD (really not important for your average gamer)

at a price like £583, a decent GTX 500 series would even still fit within the £750 bracket

Reason behind choosing sandy bridge over ivy bridge like most of the others is that the sandy bridge overclocking has a lot higher potential than the ivy bridge, and coupled with a good watercooling like the h100i it could still keep decent temps when it has been overclocked.

Some may agree or disagree, but it's better to save money (even if it is hypothetical money) than to waste it on things that are the "best" at the time :)
