CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Seidon 120M (I have personal experience with this one, quite good for the asking price if there isn't extreme overclocking being done. Also wanted to keep color scheme coordinated):https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Coolers+-+Water/Cooler+Master+Seidon+120M+Water-Cooling+CPU+Cooler+?productId=53449

Grand total: £653.10

best of luck to all entrants! Even if this isn't something I can win (living in the states and all), I still love system building and this was a good exercise to keep me fresh... also helps me put into perspective how much is paid for these products overseas as well!

Sweet-ass little system!

CPU: http://goo.gl/YQIWZ - core i3 2120 (sufficient)
Motherboard: http://goo.gl/ccSKa - asus p8h77 (sufficient)
Memory: http://goo.gl/jPgSj - G.Skill Ripjaws 2 X 4GB (reliable)
SSD: http://goo.gl/PfUtc - samsung 830 256GB (reliable)
PSU: http://goo.gl/mqf0N - 350W SFX Power (small size)
CPU Cooler: http://goo.gl/JEoLN - CM Seidon 120 (small)
Case: http://goo.gl/byWXs - CM Elite 120 (small)

£470.54 (including tax). With the rest of the money, I would buy some peripherals (mouse, keyboard, game controller, etc.).

I would place this sweet little system system next to my 46 inch TV and put Steam's Big Picture on it.

This is definitely the best (small) system on this post. C'mon an prove me wrong!

Here is what I would build.

Cpu: I5 3570k
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Com...t+LGA1155+Processor+-+Retail+?productId=49755

Motherboard: Asus Z77 sabertooth
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Com...DDR3+PCI-Express+Motherboard+?productId=49261

Ram: Corsair Vengence Jet Black Low Profile 8GB
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Com...annel+Kit+[CML8GX3M2A1600C9]+?productId=45511

Case: Cooler Maser Silencio 550
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Com...k+Midi+Tower+Soundproof+Case+?productId=44638

Cooler: Corsair H80i
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Com...80i+Water-Cooling+CPU+Cooler+?productId=52950

Psu: 650W Seasonic Modular 80 plus gold
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Com...US+Gold+Modular+Power+Supply+?productId=51476

Ssd: 64gb Crucial M4
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Sto...A-III+Solid+State+Hard+Drive+?productId=44257

Hdd: Western Digital 1tb green
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Sto...5"+SATA+III+Hard+Drive+-+HDD+?productId=48965

Total
£737.76

Reasoning behind each part if you care.

Cpu: Great cpu for gaming and is a really good bang for the buck.
Motherboard: I like the look of a sabertooth and the sabertooth boards usually come with a really good warranty.
Case: I chose the silencio as it is nice to look at and will help reduce noise levels.
Cooler: I chose the H80i as it will give more headroom for overclocking then the H60.
Psu: I chose the seasonic powersupply as they are a good brand and with such a tight case having it being modular will eliminate any unwanted wires helping to keep the system tidy. Also being 80 plus gold means it is more efficient.
Ram: I chose the low profile ram in case I would want to change to something like a noctua cooler in the future.
Storage: The m4 would be used as a boot drive and then the western digital hdd as the main storage. With the ssd being so cheap why not add it.
