Will this be a good Water-Cooling setup ??

ANP !!!

New member
Ok guys, i was thinking of giving Watercooling a try.

I m going to Order a CM Stacker 830 in a few days, along with the WC parts

My WC will include,

MCP655 + FuZion + Coolingworks CoolRad - 32T + Tygon #3603 1/2in ID

Does it seem like a decent setup ??

I will add in MCW60 for GTX n PA120.3 sometimes later.

So wil i be able to keep the CPU @ 3800g 24/7 with this setup with decent temps ? considering i m running it at 3600 right now with my Infinity..

Or u guys can advise me a good custom setup for 280$ (shipped to my country)

TIA

ANP !!! :wavey:

Looks like a great little setup mate, and yeah you can add the mcw60/ or EK full cover block later on when you can afford it. I wouldn't be running my Conroe at that voltage 24/7 if you want to keep it for a while ;) 1.5V is too high for 24/7 imho even under water.

Ohh   ok i underclocked it a bit lower now

running it now at 3480 @ 1.42 :D, thx for that. :)

For some reason, i had a double mind going inside to buy a good mid-tower along with a good high end custom WC kit

that includes

2x MCP 655

FuZion

MCW 60

PA 120.3

Tygon #3603 1/2in ID

becoz it wil cost me the same as the Stacker + mid-end WC Kit

so wht would u do if u were in my place ?

1)Stacker 830 + Mid-end WC OR

2)Mid-tower (like silverstone TJ07) + high-end WC

The stacker/TJ07 and that setup will serve you quite well....in fact very similar to my setup (at 100% load and 32-33 deg ambient temps I get around 40 deg C). Would you rather have your rad installed internally or externally, as the 830 is larger in dimensions than the TJ07(not by much, but largere none-the-less). I have the 830 and I have installed my 120.3 externally because I didn't want to cut the top of my stacker to install the rad; and installing the 120.3 in my drive bays took up too much room.

Hmm I mean to say is that if i buy that setup i wont be able to buy a stacker due my budget :P. so i will have to stick with the TJ07

Should be ok if you mount it all nice :)

I use 1.55v under water (mainly cause I dont give a poo if my chip dies). Not had any problems

Why don't you care man?

I would die if my chip died. :(

Aright, i have almost decided wht i want.

m going to buy a TJ07 along with

MCP655 + MCW60 + Apogee GT + Switftech MicroRes + PA120.3 + Tygon #3603 1/2in ID..

Along with another 320GB HDD :D

Does it sound like a decent setup ??

Is getting a T-Line worth over the MicroRes ? + How much good is the PA120.3 then the Blackice GTX360 (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/hwlablicegtb4.html) ?

Coz m buying 90% of my parts from Sidewinders n PA120.3 isnt listed there, so i will have to buy it from any other International shop which will be a PITA, so if its not worth the hassle ?, or if it IS worth then let me know :D

personally I'd take the FuZion over the GT, but ultimately it's your choice. Reason being, the GT's can be awkward to get sitting right for favourable temps due to their base.

Hmm a'right i take the fuZion then.

But the Problem is my Budget is 410$ (Shipped to my Place, shipping will usually be around 70-80$)

but it went upto 450$ :(, can u suggest someways to get the figure near 410$ in neways ??

If the GT works within your budget mate, then get it. They are a good performing block, just a little fiddly to get mounted right from all reports I've seen. You could cull the res and just have a closed loop in conjunction with a 'T', that'd save you a couple of dollars. The PA120.3 is the best performing rad out there, but you pay the price premium for those few extra degree's cooler operating temps. Get the Blackice GTX360, GT and lose the microres and save yourself some money to stay within your budget. Or go the whole hog and pay the extra if you can afford it

On the voltage subject you should be fine @ 1.5v if ur under a good water setup, I have yet to see a report of a dead chip from 1.5v under water and a lot of the Conroe's need that magic 1.5v to really fly.

I'm rather curious, where are you getting your TJ07 such that it's costing you less than the Stacker? Around here it costs at least $50 more.

im sure u can scape some $$ off by not using Tygon and using some Masterkleer 7/16" or 1/2" tubing. The Fuzion & Apogee GT preform near the same, the backplate does help the apogee h/e i havent seen much OC gain over temp gain between these two. the microres will make it easier to bleed, thats about it b/c its not big enough to drop temps significantly or even notice a change. other than that looks like a awesome setup just post some pics when ur done =P

edit 2hrs later found this http://www.petrastechshop.com/swapgtxcpuwa.html dont want to confuse u more into what ur gonna buy all 3 blocks are more than good.

Duh !, srry for that, i mispelled 5 by 7.. :D

i meant the TJ05   , Here i Can get a ALMOST ALIKE TJ05 for 70$ :D,

@AI_01: I m getting the FuZion :D, the GTX really looks good, but i dont think its marginally any better then the FuZion. :D

[Edit] a'right guys, I have decided wht all to get for my Setup,

MCP655 + MCW60 + FuZion + PA120.3 + MicroRes + Tygon #3603 1/2in ID 3/4 OD

:D Thx guys for the help, i dun wanna compromise performance for a few $$,

hmm I was just thinking if those Generic 1200-1500RPM 120x25mm fans goo good with the PA120.3 ? I can get them for 2$ at the local Computer store :D

Ok guys,,, i changed my mind a bit, i passed out the HDD plan n swapped the TJ05 for a Stacker 810.

I have seen many WCed stacker 810s,

so my question is, i know it might be good for WC, but i want to hear from all u guys,

is the Stacker 810 good for WC, when it comes to all internal loop that has a PA120.3 n that too without any modding:D :D ??
