Well, I suppose I better introduce myself.
I've been an avid PC enthusiast for a good few years now (would go so far as to call myself a bit of a nerd XD) and I took the plunge a couple of years ago to build myself a PC. Haven't looked back since...
That being said, i'm still using the same PC that I built in December 2007. But given the money I spent on it, I expect to be using it without any major modifications for another 6 months (hopefully). Specs are as follows:
Asus Striker Extreme
Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.4ghz
4gb Corsair RAM (can't remember the exact make anymore XD)
1x Western Digital Raptor 10000rpm 160GB
1x Western Digital (something) 500GB
1x 160GB Laptop Hard Drive (Salvaged it from my Vaio after the motherboard died =/)
nVidia GeForce 8800GTS 512mb
OCZ Silent Running 1000w PSU
3x DVD Drives (Looking to get a Blu-Ray at some point)
All in a Black Thermaltake Shark case and using a Logitech G15 keyboard (monochrome display) and Logitech MX Revolution mouse on a LG M228WA screen.
So not the most high-end of setup's, but it's kept me going for 2 years now with no real concerns XD
I also run an Xbox 360 and Wii (looking to get a PS3 when I can afford it).
