Who wants to see some LGA2011 boards?

Cant see how many sata ports those boards have but they look one hell of a lot nicer than the asus offering as to date, though i think thats more than likely a production sample rushed out just to showcase the new boards layout, the pcb colour will most likely change.

the ud3 looks the best so far to me.. ill get round to upgrading from socket 775 when moneys allow eventually i might do a tom and stick to x58..

Bindibadgi on bittech (the asus guy) has already said the ASUS C1X79 EVO is well and truly preproduction and we wont be seeing the real things anytime soon

Nice post Karlos

On a new note, WHERE HAVE ALL THE BITCHEN HEAT SINKS GONE?!?!??!?!?

The 2 earlier shown boards have them on, they probably haven't decided on design for the later 2. That and it's only gonna be a bit bigger than an inch squared so they might have popped 'em off to give people a better look at the boards.

That MSI board in SieB's post looks extremely interesting, 6+2 power phases? And to that combined with dual 8-pin. #DetailsThatInterestMe

Oh my god what a big socket!

Come to think of it, the split memory slots isnt going to be very usefull for people that want to watercool their memory, and big air heatsinks either have to have the Nh-d14 mounting system or dont bother at all.

So triple channel is dead?

Triple channel was always a non-starter imo. An interim effectively between dual and quad, a make-do like with cores.

Quad (may be 2xdual effectively) memory, USB3.0 standard, SATA3 standard, PCIe 3.0 standard... I think my bank manager just went to the bathroom with a box of tissues.

Oh and look, more power to the mobos - who would have thought it

I have just read that LGA 2011 is being ramped up and will now be released Q3 so thats July August September! instead of Q4.
