Who makes the best fan?

Depends what you mean by best. Highest CFM, quietest, highest static pressue, best value for money. Or a blend of several.

Price performance Xilence RedWings get my vote, but for sheer all-roundness you cant beat Noctua's (well, saying that they aren't exactly lookers with that brown and beige colour scheme).:)

Yup, another one for Noctua here :) The price is killing though >< €20 a piece for 5 fans is disastrous for your budget if you are on one.

Yate loon gets my vote.. simply for the price/performance ratio.. and ive had 5.. none of which have broken.. Though if you have the money to burn noctua are pretty good, however i heard a while ago they dont have enough pressure for rads.. or something like that.

I think XIGMATEK and Scythe make good fans, the XIGMATEK 120mm pushes 72 CFM at 20 dbA. There are others, but these are under $10 or £5. You can spend 20 bucks on a case fan like noctua, but XIGMATEK and Scythe are cheap, silent, strong, and high quality.

Hell, the Scythe "ULTRA KAZE" pushes out 133 CFM at 45 dbA, and if you lower it to about 110 CFM you'll get about 28~30 dbA.

Scythe is known for excellent fans, and XIGMATEK is known for excellent PSU's, Fans, and much more.

looks like I am solo here with Sharkooons. They push a fair ammount of air (not 40CFM+) but good luck hearing thehm at all, Sharkoon 120mm 1000's, £8 each so not too bad and the white looks cool

No mention of Papst?.. Awsome fans balanced to reduce vibrations due to uneven weight distribution..

If you want raw power, nothing beats delta fans, well papst made a competitor to the 120mm Delta which is sickenly powerfull 355m3/hr .. at just 67db, consuming 35W..

Tbh.. it doesn't matter that much what you chose, quality costs more than junk, but that's nothing new :D.. Panaflo fans are also awsome.. Silent and you get high CFM (or m3/hr) with low noise..

Noctua NF-P12's!!!! Had about 7 of um for various things and DAMN they rule. I love the colour, shame no one knows how to safely take one apart for spraying.

QUIET TOO!!!
