Samsung 840 or crucial m4. I used the standard san disk and it was slow in comparison
I also use my ssd only for programs and have my data elsewhere including steam saves and games. in fact I also have a system with a 64gb M4 and that's still ok for just programs and OS, bit tight though
SSDs we recommend here...
Crucial M4/M500,Samsung 830/840 pro, Corsair GTX Neutron, Plextor(any sata 3), Kingston HyperX 3K, and the new favorite that many have been suggesting lately.. Sandisk Extrme 2.
I also find SteamMover to be quite handy, especially for games. Work with pretty much any folder though, not just 'Steam' as the name implies.
It just uses Junction Points (which you can do without the application if you know how) to move folder locations.
So I have my Steam folder on my HDD and move my current game(s) onto my SSD. Then when I'm not playing the game as much but still want it installed, I can move it back to the HDD. A lot simpler than installing - uninstalling - re-installing etc.
Slightly off topic here, but with Z87 can you still set up an SSD to be a cache for a HDD (forget what Intel call that) and if you can is it still limited to a 64GB SSD?
