i want to get an ssd for it but i really dont know which one to get.
i only have about 80-90 quid to spend.
what would you recommend?

thanks in advance

Crucial M4 still gets my vote. I've got 3 of them, all perform brilliantly and I've never had a problem with them.
Other than that, Samsung 830/840 Pro

my vote would also be for sandisk extreme as this is worth the spend!

I'd upgrade the CPU first to at least an I3. Don't want to hold back the 7870 and then focus on a ssd

The cpu is only temperary because i got it cheap. Nd im still using a 1280x1024 monitor until i can afford a better one so im not really gonna stress the card anyway but i do understand your point dude.

Thanks for all your advice guys :)

Sorry i havent replied ive been layed up ill :( I havent got the drive yet but im def not gettin the 840. Other drives have the same specs for £20-30 less. I think samsung have been abit devious with the 840 series. I havent seen alot about kingston drives. Ill have to check them out

I'm running a KingstonHyperX3k 120gb as my OS drive. Takes me 9seconds to get onto google chrome(not counting password entry). Very fast drive! There are faster ones but i got mine for a good price:)

How about an Intel, I bought a 180gb 550 write and 520 read, haven't tried it yet I'm just about to install W8 onto it now. Well once I've blead my loop.

Get the cheapest one. Which would be the samsung. Plus it has an extra 8gb which may help down the road, i would still recommend a bigger drive but if you feel 120gb is enough then go for it:)

thats what i was thinking tbh.
and i only have a few games anyway and i would only put my fave ones on there so i wudnt really need anything bigger.
for now at least anyway ;)
ill get the samsung thanks for all your advice guys :)

i thought that too when i got my SSD "only a few games 120 GB would be enough" but i went with ocz 256GB drive as it was dropped right down to £150 in PC world.

so glad i did now :P on 147 GB/238 GB
