Which online game to play- I want some fun

i think keep our dust2 how it is, its nice to have a normal server to play on without any mods/adjustments

deathmatch i dont play too much, but i think its too popular to get rid of.

we need anothr server to mess around with

Yes if you were to get another server, I would say get the gun game up and running.

Thing is, the DM server doesnt change maps well for some reason.

Basically because the round never ends (because its constant DM), the map never changes.

Still doesnt work. Time limit is still based on the round ending. I'd like to know how othwer servers manage it

Well you can set a time limit per round can't you?

EDIT: Yes, you can under the dedicated server you go to to configure and it's the 4th option down. You have probably tried this, so sorry if I seem annoying .

So I gather that the dust2 servers been going a bit quiet lately? I think people like the no gimmick, dust2 server but are being put off because of the slight lag spikes that have occured recently...

We shouldnt 'pimp' it up, as when the EWA server changed from office to office/d2, it died FAST! I think a new 12 player office/office_extended/dust2/train server be easy to manage and keep popular.

Thats my imo anyways

The only other game in your list worth playing online imo is UT2004...but then none of the OC3D guys play it - and its not fun if you don't play against ppl you know

Ah the fond memories...The very first game I played against Kemp, XMS and Dave was UT2K4. And I got my butt handed to me on a platter many a time; fun as hell though.

I am restricted most of the time for work reasons and the occasional nagging wife, she has now got a night time job, which means i get to play

Join the club; got the t-shirt to prove it. Anyway, I'd go with the HL2/Counterstrike suggestion if you're looking for some awesome fun.

As for the secondary conversation going on in this thread...D2 DM would be cool

Most prolly. it is a 2mb cache 5400rpm disk

Umm - I just get em as I go. Steam updates CSS automatically so you won't have to update it

cheers kemp, busy downloading the updates now. Is there a quick way to find the OC3D server? or do I have to look for it amongst the 28039 listed
