Well I am currently waiting on my visa to work in the US and due to delays in processing I am late in moving over which is why my build is so delayed
However in the mean time MSI has got around to releasing the 3k edition machine so I am torn on which to go for:
Sager NP9380 special edition:
Pro:
Supports 2x330W bricks
120hz 17.3" panel
SLI 780M
Cons:
Questionable CPU cooling
Bigger and heavier
Shorter battery life
MSI 3k edition:
Pro:
I already have a 330W brick that will work with it.
2880x1620 panel
780M is fitted with 1.5ghz rated Vram as oppsed to 1.25ghz
Capable of supporting Nvidia surround
Cons:
Screen is smaller at 15.6" and only runs at 60hz
Only a single 780M
It's not designed to work with large capacity bricks so I don't know how much extra juice it will cope with
I have cooling tweaks I can apply to both systems and I think I can do a fun series of mods and overclocks on both of them. The sager will simply bench higher due to dual cards but the MSI will be able to squeeze more out of the single card.
