In the spirit of the new year I'm thinking of upgrading my vid card. Although I don't really need to, I'd definately like to try something different for a change
What I'm currently looking at are a few different options.
A.) X1950XTX - I have chosen this as it performs a tad bit better than my current card and would also give me the ability to fold an additional F@H core.
B.) X1950 Pro Crossifer - I chose this setup because it's about the same price as an X1950XTX and offers a smidgeon more performance and would also let me fold an additional F@H core (I was originally hoping that I could fold 2 extra cores since I would have 2 cards but it doesn't seem like CF setups are supported
)
C.) 8800GTS - I chose this because it offers a great deal more performance than my current card and is in check with the pricing of the 2 previously mentioned setups. Unfortunately going with this setup means no extra F@H core but does give me DX10 support for when Vista launches retail.
D.) 8800GTX - I've put this one in just for poops and giggles. Again this is obviously the highest performing card but costs and considerable bit more than any of the other mentioned setups and would just be a fun card to have. Yet I don't think this card quite fits in to my budged at the moment, or my case for that matter
E.) Stick with the 7900GTO until R600 comes out and then check in to that.
F.) Just stop spending money frag, ur a FREAK! :freak:
What do you think I should do? Give some reasoning behind ur vote too plz.
