Which mouse?

My microsoft sidewinder x8 died on me and it jumps around wayy too much now, I am in the middle of the game and the mouse will like lag/ jump its very annoying. Regardless of weather it is plugged or unplugged it does this. I am now looking for a wired gaming mouse.

I like steelseries mice and was looking at a xai, ikari, or sensei. Are these good? if so which one should I get.

Any other mice that are good? I dont want super gimmicky huge mice with all sorts of settings like those weird seitek mice. I play a lot of starcraft if it means anything.

I refuse to get Razer so please dont even mention any because I wont get one.

I am leaning twards the ikari but I am not sure.

I recommend the CM Storm Sentinel, best mouse I've ever used. The cord is braided, there are nice lights on the mouse which are AMAZING, they are not extremely bright, so they are not tacky but they actually add taste to the mouse. The movement is very smooth and slides nicely across surfaces. It is EXTREMELY comfortable in the hand. There are two programmable buttons on the side which can become useful sometimes. The laser on the mouse has a max 5600dpi which is high enough for most people, also adjustable through the software. There is NOTHING wrong with it. 10/10

that is a really interesting looking mouse i will look into it

yeah i use 3000 dpi

Im using a Logitech G500 laser mouse with 5700 dpi. Its the best mouse i have owned and tested. It has memory, weights, 8 buttons, and its not to expencive.

I can vouch for Steelseries mouses and their quality I have the XAI which is the next model up from the Ikari. The only thing about the steelseries mice though is the scroll wheel is a bit clunky, other than that though they are good mice.

I hear a lot of good things about the cheaper mice the others have mentioned though like the Logitech G500 and the CM Storm Sentinel.

So out of all the steelseries mice, which is the best, Ikari, Xai, sensei? I think its the sensei but im not sure. THe ikari looks like it feels better in the hand and the xai looks a lot like the sensei but a better color scheme imo (which makes me wonder what is different between all the mice).

as for the logitech g500 I probably wont be going with that the CM storm sentinel looks pretty nice but steelseries looks nicer.

as for clunky scroll wheels the microsoft one was pretty dissapointing but i got used to it so I am sure steelseries cant be worse than that.

I'd definitely suggest either the Steelseries Ikari, Xai or Sensei laser mice. From personal experience, I'm still very much favouring the Ikari laser just for the comfort aspect.

Running a Steelseries XAI at the moment, great mouse when it comes to performance however there is a conflict with the XAI (possibly Sensei too) and UEFI BIOS for some if not all boards that use that type of BIOS.

Basically the mouse is recognised but doesn't move correctly in the BIOS so you end up being forced to use the keyboard as you would with a normal BIOS. I contacted Asrock about this issue and they ultimately said there would be no fix for it as it was out of their hands. I have read posts about other motherboard vendors saying the same thing too.

Having pointed out that issue I must stress that the mouse performance massively outweighs the problems and I wouldn't change it unless it broke. Also, both Steelseries and Corepad do replacement mouse pads which is another benefit, I know many people that buy new mice because of worn pads...

One of my friends recently bought an Ikari and he said it is a fantastic mouse (the best he's ever used).

That particular friend is me. Yes the Ikari is an awesome mouse, I don't think it can be beaten in terms of comfort. It glides flawlessly and just melts into your hand

Nuf said.

TBH I have enought of my Lachesis, and I think most Raze mouses have the same problem. Disconnect every second day especially nice while you gaming. My keyboard does the same but only 2 times a month sometimes not at all. So yeah, NO for Razez mouses. Maybe he should try Corsair new stuff, m60 or m90.
