Which is better, need a good ram benchmark

I got a tough choice to make about which ram to keep. Its between Mushkin Redline xp4000 UT or Ocz VX4000.

The Redline are the better overclockers doing 265ht at 2-2-2-6 before burn in, the Vx do 255ht also at 2-2-2-6.

I have benched them with a few very basic benchmarks at the exact same speed and settings at 250ht and they perform pretty much identically, altough the VX may have a very slight edge on its write speed.

Even tough the Redlines run at a faster speed they dont seem to give any improvment at 265ht than when they are at 250 with the same cpu speed.

What I need is a good benchmark that will tell me if one set is better than the other.

Any recommendation of a benchmark that will do this will be really helpful

Sandra is an okay benchmark but gets slated for some of the results it brings.

The trick is too tweak behind those initial settings - choose the one that can run TRFC at 12 and the setting above that at 7 - look at my BIOS settings for more details - dropping a few CPU mhz overclock to maintain those speeds is better than getting a few mow clocks on the CPU.

Everest is a good RAM bencher - memtest will tell you your ram bandwidth and CustomPC benchmarks will show you whose the boss - 265Mhz is essential for video editing as every ounce of bandwidth will help.

IMHO - 265Mhz is much better than 255 at same timings even though you can't measure it (probs coz you need a better, or 2nd GPU) - also if it can do 265Mhz at 2-2-2-6, you should be able to run 255 @ 2-2-2-5 or even 1.5-2-2-5.

Good luck and may the force be with you.
