What's your PC's Name? Why?

I just recently read that it is not uncommon to name your PC here, what is completely new to me.

Having received a suggestion to start a thread from tinytomlogan, on Help name my PC thread, on this very topic, I decided I would do exactly just that.

So what's your PC named and whats the logic behind it?

Rise of the Triad. Or just The Triad. Firstly because Alienware call it the Triad due to the shape and there was a game during the 80s or 90s called Rise Of The Triad.

Dianoga. Named after the creature thing in Star Wars.

Riff Tamson. Again, named after the character in Star Wars.

Krusty III

Why Krusty?
My PC used to give me the sh*** so I named it after my ex. Kristy (her nick name was Krusty - but not for anything too obscene)

Why the third? Well it's my third PC build with the same name.

Mature? No. But it's tradition now.

Fractal Solo ......... Pretty self explanatory lol

Love the reason behind it. Gave me quite a laugh :D

Didn't know you were into planes, man.

My fave is the SR71 :)

I love planes but hate flying lol.

You should go take a look at the one at Duxford, it's a sight to behold :)

F-14 will always be my favourite, that thing was just beautiful.

Maybe I will get my wife to take me when it warms up a bit. Most stuff like that is closed during winter (as I found out when me and my American chum went to see the Mary Rose lmao).

Would love to see one in the flesh though. Just to hear it creaking haha.

It's all indoors mate, it's open right now :) They re-opened the American bit last year.

Born in 81 growing up I had a skateboard and airfix so I immediately fell in love with aviation, plus dad being in the army and being a pad brat it was kind of a must.

They were nice. The John C Stennis and the Carl Vinson stayed in port in the 90s a couple of times and they did a fly by with some F14's and F-18s. Very impressive.

They have nothing, however, on an F-111 doing a dump and burn - especially at night.

Sadly we retired them and are awating F-35s.... I caught up with one in Brisbane earlier this year with the missus (this is not Krusty btw...)

Taken at QAM - Caloundra

I had a cousin who was four years older than me and 6ft when he was 14 so he used to take me to the airports for day trips and we would go around collecting baggage tags and plane memorabilia (IE anything we could get for nickseys).

I used to love it. Then he would take me to the end of the airport by bus so we could stand at the fence at the end of the runway and watch the planes fly over us, kinda like they did in Wayne's World. What a rush man, just sheer noise. Like you couldn't even hear yourself scream.

I remember going to the Concorde aisle in the airport and being given some really nice stuff. I bet it's worth something now tbh.

My cousin flew on Concorde three times before its demise. Such a shame :(

I did start flying in '99 and was growing my confidence for it but then 9/11. And to make matters worse I was due to fly six days after 9/11 and we got to the airport and there was a terror threat on our flight (turned out to be a joke) and we ended up sitting in a refugee tent for about four hours before I cracked.

Not flown since. Even going to the airport now makes me feel sick :(

Oh yeah, I have seen (and touched, even though I wasn't supposed to !) Enola Gay in the flesh. A very strange experience.

The Curious Orange.

Elite: Dangerous is my all time favourite game, hence the colour scheme.

Future plans include a Cougar K700 keyboard and M700 mouse to colour match all my peripherals, also have a Nitro gaming chair in black and orange too.
