Lets say your system can do maximum 300htt then following is what you could maximum get on each c.p.u if you have the right cooling. Opteron 148 = 300 x 11 = 3300mhz Opteron 146 = 300 x 10 = 3000mhz Opteron 144 = 300 x 9 = 2700mhz So like Kempez have said Opteron 146 is better option here
