whats the deal with these new fan PSU's?

wouldnt these new Fanless PSU cause a bit more heat then usual, i spose thats why i havent seen them in more than 350 watt

Yes they would cause mor Heat but if you think of Users who want to build a Media PC you can understand why these PSU's are out. Everything can be fanless and so to get the Computer 100 % silent you can buy one of these nice Fanless PCU's. Pretty easy concept but nothing for Overclockers.

fanless psus usually have a much higher efficiency when converting voltages and so give out less heat they also have greater Amps on each line
