Whats the Best 120mm fan.

I have a Antec 1200 case and am looking to buy a very good 120mm fan for the side panel to chill my GPU a bit. Im not nessesarily looking for the most quiet one but it would be a bonus. I know the names like Noctua and Scythe and Antec. But which would get the most cool air to my GPU without sounding like a turbo.

Also im using the standard Fan that comes with the Corsair H50 Watercooler. Is this as good as i get or would a 3rd party fan be better ?.

Look for CFM (cubic feet of air per minute) and RPM speed. That will give you a good idea of how much air it can shift and how fast it spins (and also how noisy it will be).

if its a no budget fan then a noctua is the best one out there

ok i was leaning towards noctua. They have a couple of 120mm solutions. now just to find the best one.

**EDIT** well after reading a few reviews its deffinate that the fans have the quiet factor under control. It's just a few are complaining that u can get better airflow from other brands like akasa. Confusing.

What do u guys think of this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-059-AK

there ok but at that price i woult still get the noctua for a few quid more, have a look at the P12b and the P14,for side case fans they are good

ok cool.... what would u recommend for my H50 Radiator as i know for sure static pressure is most important but not all display this stat.

for a higher static pressure then you need to go for the P12 (the one with loads of fins)

the still shift air aswell

i would (and am soon) use a P14 on the side, then use the P12 on your H50

expensive i know but they are so worth it,i have my first ever noctua fan sat in my comp still purring away allbeit louder that the new sereis

Just as u posted this i found this m8 http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=which_fan&lng=en nice to see they care enough to tell you the best ones for a situation.

yer thats a good guide, and as you can see the P12 is better suited to rads and areas of obstruction

so its a good choice :)

Hehehe well the P12 will also be good on the side panel as it has a pre fitted (godbless Antec) dense dust filter.

well unless there ar wires or obstructions from the fan mount to the GPU then you wanna use the P12b as it has more airflow, but conside the 140/120 for the side panel, its quiter and shifts more air that ither of them

i no but as you tend to keep fans the longest IMO they are a good investment.

i have used syth,coolermaster,tricools,enermax,silverstone,sharkoon

non of them compete with the noctua range, the P14 is very good for the side becouse usaly the side has no obstructions,so you will get all the air goin to your mobo and Gpu just like you want

This i fully agree with my freind.. but as i pointed out i have a dense filter on the side that is positioned between the fan and the case panel so a High static pressure one would be better, no ?

yes you are right a high pressure fan would be better, and in that case yes go for the P12,the P14 would still be better, but you have a dust filter and the way you have to mount it might be awkward.
