Crap, you can short things with AS5?? No wonder I busted two mobos and an old Thoroughbred :D

(I'm not messy.. I just didn't think it mattered around the core)

According to Arctic Silver, its highly unlikely, but apparently the conductivity of AS5 does increase over time...so its still a possibility.

I already know exactly how it's done, its more a case of doing what I'm supposed to :D

Add to your guide a requisite that readers should beat themselves if they don't comply with the instructions... should prevent CrArCish accidents in the future, lol :)

ANTEC FORMULA 5 - this stuff is the dogs danglies prob is most people havent used it and as5 on the same system (@diff times) so im the only crusader for it

Generic "Silver" Thermal Compound from the local PC shop. Load temps on my P4 2.4GHz C are about 32-38ºC, depending on how warm it is in the room. And that, my freinds, is with stock cooling. Beat that.

Mine is an AMD Athlon XP 3200+ Barton (notoriously hot). I have 26-28deg at idle with a room temp of around 27-30deg. And it loads at around 35deg max. That's with AS5 and a Swiftech/SilenX combo. Do I win? ;)
