What do you do with your old case?

I'm just wondering what you guys do with your old cases when you upgrade. Do you sell them, keep them for one reason or another or something else.

If you do sell them do you keep the original box or send it in some other sort of packaging as I tend to keep all my hardware boxes other than case boxes due to the size? And what have you found is the best way to sell/ship a case?

If they're not going to be used by me for server/backup pc stuff I give/sell them to friends.

Normally they just go in the loft though. I have a dell case, an enermax case and the remnants of an old antec case up there.

I taking the cheap ones to the tip and watch the pikeys fight over them.

It will be banned like dog / cok fighting one day

I strip out all the useful parts like cages, PCI blanks, meshes & filters, USB/Audio/Switch headers, screws & blank side panels (sheet material for modding) then the rest goes to the tip.

I usually sell them, wont be able to sell my Switch though because bit's here and there on it are damaged due to dropping it down some stairs :\

I'm sure the local tat man will have it though :D

how bad is the damage mate?

It's not bad to be honest, just little things like the power button is broke and the front panel is a bit beat up. Also, when I watercooled in it I had to bend some metal runners in the drive bays down to get a dual bay res in there.
I could still sell it for a lower price to be honest, I just wont be getting £50+ for it.

Paint red stripes on it and sell it as the "ultimate gaming case". Someone will buy, I guarantee it.

I just mod them and enjoy 'em, two of my project logs in my sigs are actually old cases that I just modded and I enjoy everyday looking at them chilling on my wardrobe :)

I still have my Cooler Master Cosmos (and older) Praetorian fully populated and running (storing and serving), whilst the plastic crap (remnants from the day's before I knew better) are piled up in the garage. :)

oh right i was thinking of trying my hand at case modding as i'm getting bored with new cases keep coming out i got a 750D and i'm just not happy with it, i'm thinking of building my own case out of unwanted big broken cases also give case painting a go as i've never tried it before.
