What do you do with old broken tech?

Hi, I have 4 pairs of headphones which don't work properly anymore, a dead DVD drive along with a few other bits like fans, where do you dispose of them? Obviously can't be recycled along with paper and plastic stuff that you put outside your door, just put them in the bin?

I don't have a car so can't transport them anywhere far.

Find a friend that has a car and is willing to drive or give the items to one that lives nearby a recycling center or deposit.

Usually special places to dispose of it. Although people tend to toss them in the trash, its not advised.

In Uk there used to be special dumps where you could dispose of unique items. In Norway we have environmental stations for the same reason. There must be something similar near you without having to travel far?

Thats a pretty damn good link. Had to test my old address out and was surprised at the amount of locations. I used to assume of only 3 places. Instead it listed over 20.
