hi guys just as the title suggests what are your hobbies outside the world of computers?

mine are collecting and breeding snakes. which is my main hobby
playing golf and restoring old ford cars. currently have a '65 anglia im trying to get back on the road.

so yeah thats what i enjoy doing how about you guys?

i enjoy taking aspi tests and hijacking threads :D
Really i dont have a whole lot non pc related hobbies, i like astronomie and physics, but i learn about that stuff on my pc...
Maybe playing cards, that is what we do in every break at school, i used to meet up with friends quite often for that as well, but in the past few months we have been lacking.

i know what you mean about not doing alot of the things you used too. me and my mates used to have poker nite every thursday night but now everyone has started settling down and havin kids so we just dont have the time anymore.

the joys of getting old i suppose

Bodybuilding/Powerlifting - So far my best record is a 190kg deadlift.

Music Production - I'm a guitarist of about 10 years. I dabble a bit with the piano too, but I wouldn't be great on it. I get huge enjoyment out of writing instrumental music. Here are recent examples - (Track1, Track2)
I've played in a few bands over the years but I'm not in one currently.

Travel - I've been around most of Europe and also China and India. Later this year I was thinking of heading to North Korea (just to go someplace completely crazy), and next year it'll be Australia and probably Brazil.

Not really a hobby but looking after chickens and growing vegetables occupies a good portion of my time too. I'm kept busy, but the supply of eggs and fresh organic veggies helps me with my strength training routine.

only real hobby outside of the pc world would be working on cars for my mates .just finished converting a vn commodore calais into a group a with 20'' hp racing wheels wich we were told would not fit by nearly every susspension shop here .except for 1 that new what he was talking about and willing to show us what parts we needed .also installed a mean stereo with 2 pioneer 6000w spl series subs ,1.5 farrat cap , dry cell 6 stack battery and a pioneer 3000w mono block amp .was a pain to wire up and to make the box the way he wanted it butt his very happy with it last db drag the car managed 136.9db witch i think isn,t to bad our first time with the new box plan on getting another dry cell battery wired up as we have reach a point were power is an issue

Remote Control Planes and Quadcopters for me.
Have a good selection of different models that I get to fly every now and then.

Computers. I am just completely and utterly addicted to computer related stuff.

When I'm not working on them I'm reading about them, learning about them.

breeding snakes? that sounds awesome lol for me its photography, though the weather in Scotland hasn't been good to me :( don't want anything getting rained on :P

I restore and ride old racing bicycles. It is a very expensive hobby, especially now classic racers are in fashion. Damn hipsters. I also dabble in a bit of producing D'n'B when I feel in the mood :D .

Probably should mention that I look after my 6 year old tortoise, Linford who is incredibly good at escaping

Car audio used to be a huge one for me. I was a very active competitor in sound quality competitions for the better part of a decade and been an enthusiast since I got my first car back in 1988.

Now though I have a nice house, a little boy and 2 jobs so taking whole weekends driving 2-4 hours to hit a show isnt happening nearly as much as it used to be. Id rather be here at my nice house working on it or playing with my little boy or gaming.

I dont know if weightlifting can be called a hobby but its something Ive been doing hardcore also since 1988 when I was 16 and my high school started a weightlifting class. Never been into bodybuilding, rather always just wanting to be big and strong. Id rather look like those dudes on the Worlds Strongest Man competitions than a fitness model. :D

Thats hardcore man. No way I could so something like that. Im all about the strength sports but endurance stuff isnt my bag. Think mainly because my day job beats my balls off so I get plenty of endurance training there. LOL!

On a side note, you lot over in the UK have the most beautiful scenery on the planet. Even rainy, dreary days the landscape is still magnificent. Half the reason I watch Top Gear is for the scenery. Before I die I will visit the UK. Hell, Ive even entertained thoughts of moving there! Never will now that Ive got a house, wife and kid though but always felt like I shouldve been born in England. ;)
