And then 50% sign off never to be heard from again lol. I didn't have any issues logging on. I hope that now the comp is over that we will get some threads with more depth other than countless introduction posts. Not there is anything wrong with more sheep getting added to the flock. But I mean that now people that are legit interested in talking on the forum instead of just poaching a free pc we should get some proper builds problems to help solve and witty banter. Prob a bit off trolling but. Congrats to the winner
 
Odds are all same but often or not it is someone who you normally do not recognise from posts.

Naturally it's nice when someone you know wins but at the same time it's nice to build a new base of pc enthusiasts.

We will lose a fair amount of members until next year as there are people who are only here for the comps, i have seen it happen, but do not forget all the mods and admins who are excluded from the competition but spend more time than any other helping those where they can.

but i was unable to enter it keep saying "We're sorry but your attempt to enter our competition failed because the username you entered did not match the email address you entered

To enter you need a valid email address attached to your forum username, go sign up at Our Forums"

even tried the "Contact Us" way as tom said on one of his videos. no one got back to me

You were entered don't panic. There was a bug with apostraphy characters in the script.

i don't know what is all the fuss about that a regular member won a prize. seems like especially a whole lot of newbies are upset about that. it would have been happy to win, but let's face it, the competition was about to stress test the server and that worked...well enough..i guess. so that's a win for us all.

I haven't been as active in the forums as I could be because I have 2 jobs, but U R right. So many tourists hoping to snag a free PC clogged up the site. Now that we have winners (congrats all) we can get down to business.
 
I can't blame them for wanting to win something, though I do blame a few for being jealous and actually personally "attacking" the winners, who they don't even personally know.

Ah well, 't was fun. I'm glad we can browse the forums normally again now and I'm also happy that the older members won the bigger prizes :D
 
Without being rude, the only reason I don't use this forum as much is that I really dislike its layout. It always feels like the width is so small and cramped.

If it were a bit wider, perhaps slightly simpler as well, it would be fantastic!
 
well i signed up to show off my rig im working on..i had a friend afew day later say there was a comp ..didnt even know was mainly on the rig section lol

It's great that at least a few of the new people stayed , I read a few posts of some that were really bitter and mad that they didn't win.
I think this forum is a great place to learn , I've learned alot in the short time that I've been here and I'm still learning.
Thank you to all the forum members that have helped me with my sometimes dumb questions and helping me select hardware for my build.
I now visit this forum daily and enjoy reading & replying to posts.
