Weird GPU Fan issue Gtx 750ti

Howdy folks!
So my PC got a windows update on Tuesday (Windows 10 64 Bit) And since the restart one fan on my GPU is running at nearly 100% at all times, while the other is running as normal. I thought it was originally the power supply but when i opened the case its definitely the GPU. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?? Did an old googling but didn't find much. Oh I'm running Nvidia driver 376.33 since it was released if that helps. Thanks for your time!

Did you go into your OC software and see if it reset its fan profile? Mine does that after updating drivers from time to time. Worth a look.

Thanks for the reply! The fan profile is the same as it was. Strangely enough I just ignored it for a while and it stopped... I'll see if it happens on next boot again. All settings in MSI afterburner are the same. I even tried resetting to a stock profile to see what would happen and it didn't fix it. Weird that only one fan is doing it on the card though.

I know that some msi dual fan gpu's had a firmware issue where one of the fans would go at 100% whilst other would behave normally. A bios update for card have fixed those along with few minor bugs, so check bios first.

Thanks I'll check for a bios update and see. It stopped by itself after the pc was on for a while I'll see if it happens next time I boot.

I had an issue with this on a 460 and the vrms were going nuts (faulty card)

What are our temps like? Do you have a vrm probe or maybe give it a touch and test?

Youll know if its bust because they will feel like they can take your finger prints off!

My missus had a similar issue to this with her Zotac GTX970, one would spin at full speed while the other would stutter or spin at snails pace. It turned out that the slower fan was faulty and the controller would spin up the other to compensate for it.

my fans dont kick untill they are needed, seems odd a card would develop a fault from, a windows update

Sorry for delay in replying haven't had time to get to the pc. Thanks for all the replies! The issue seems to have solved itself? After commenting here i got a notification on windows to restart to solve hard drive issues so I did that and it blue screened which led into a restart and blue screen loop for a few goes and then I was able to refresh windows to a previous state. Now all seems good again?? Confused is an understatement so I'll keep an eye on it for the next while. Temperatures are fine it idles at around 23 degrees and has never gone above 55 the entire time I've owned it from new! Thanks again for all the help I'll let you guys know if it rears its ugly head again
