Good evening everyone,

I've been thinking since I have now as far as my hardware completely, except for little things that I now want to define a custom water cooling me .. The thing is I have absolutely no idea what I need. I hope you can help me ..

Specs for Cooling:
Case: Corsair Air 540 atm but think for toilet i want to change .. if there is no chance ^ ^ =)
CPU: I7 4770k non oc
GPU: PowerColor R9 290x OC @ Crossfire

Thanks Guys

Ive always said as a basic rule of thumb 360 + 240 both 60mm thick will allow a cpu and a pair of GPU's to be cooled with fans low enough to please most silence freaks.

You actually cant run that config in the 540 though :/

I run a CPU and 2xGTX580 (all moderately OC'd) with a 360mm x 60mm and 240mm x 60mm just like Tom said, and it runs like a dream with nice quiet fans.

Again, you can't get this setup in the Air 540, but I think I have seen a 540 with two 240mm x 30mm rads and one 360mm x 30mm. This would be almost as good, any difference would be quite small. I'll try find a link for you to the build I saw with this configuration.

Thanks guys =) but i am not a quiet freak =) So u think it runs with a 240er 60mm on top and an 30mm maybe 45 mm in the front ?

I think I misremembered first of all. I don't think it had a 360mm. I think it had a 240mm x 30mm in the top, one in the front, and one in the bottom. I'll try find that link for you, I kind of got sidetracked, sorry ;)

Edit: Here ya go http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=54535

And each of these is in push/pull, so you could actually get some thicker radiators in there with fewer fans, which would perform better, but in my opinion it doesn't look as good. Anyway, this thread should give you a good idea of what is possible :D

Might want to look into a NZXT Switch 810 or Corsair 750D for ease of building a loop. Extra room for a beginner IMO is very important so they have the least amount of difficulty and can slowly progress to more difficult loops later on.

dont think thats an option for her as iirc she just built this 540 rig not long ago. Also the 540 should be able to do what she wants without to much headache as long as she takes it slow and easy and plans it out right.

There's a similar, or the same build on here; I put a link to it above about a week ago. As for people recommending alternate cases, I think the OP already has the Air 540, so I'm not sure she's after a new case as well.
